Category:Visual effect softwareThe new VHS cassette, that is. The 19th century standard for home viewing, the VHS video cassette won out over a new disc format in a recent consumer study. In fact, more consumers surveyed thought the new VHS format was the better technology.
The future of TV, the web, games, movies and more are in the hands of the chip maker that gave the world the DVD and Blu-ray discs. Toshiba's R&D boss, Yasuyuki Oi, was quoted as saying that "The way people view content is changing drastically, and the only company capable of leading in this is Toshiba."
Oi's comments hint at how expensive it will be for hardware makers to transition to the new Blu-ray format, which promises more storage than a DVD-9 disc and better picture quality. The latest Blu-ray discs can hold up to 50 gigabytes of data, more than four times as much as the typical DVD-9.
Toshiba's main partner in developing the Blu-ray format is Sony. The two companies will show off a new Blu-ray disc at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on January 8th.
Presumably Toshiba was expecting the DVD to be displaced by another format anyway. The last time a consumer research company asked people about the future of media players, they predicted DVD dominance.Q:
What is the minimum delay for “short for profit” transactions?
So, I was playing around with the minimum order delay on the forum. I made a withdrawal of 250000 coins and found that it has a minimum delay of 300 seconds. This is kind of high, so I wanted to do a little testing.
So, I made a deposit of 250 bitcoins at MtGox, then sent the same amount back to my wallet. I was using Kraken.com for this (the only fiat deposit/withdrawal site that supports the deposit of alt coins).
The minimum was still 300 seconds, but when I looked at the chart, it showed a transaction speed of 0.6 seconds.
What is the minimum delay for short for profit transactions?
I am interested in both alt coins and fiat.
A:
There is no such thing as minimum delay. In real-time transactions on the blockchain, it is up to the senders and miners to agree on the exact time of the transaction and there is no way to be359ba680
